The structure/layout of the lane apartment is different than most lofts. It feels quite open, is beautifully renovated, has lots of light with a huge south-facing patio. The upstairs loft is quite spacious with lots of light, so it doesn't feel cramped. The apartment also has a lot of storage space.

The apartment is on the second floor of the building. Despite having a very renovated apartment, the area still feels local and has its Shanghainese charm which you will enjoy.
 The actual neighborhood itself is a pretty traditional Shanghai lane house style, with tons of old people outside all the time, lots of plants. You see all the same people all the time and so there's a sense of community and familiarity which is nice.
